mission statement.

After a very long time, our first post is finally making its way onto the internet. The idea started back in fall of 2008, when some students got together and decided to try and start giving back. we don't call it a club, we don't call it a connect group. there is no official place to meet, and there are no age limits. we are simply people who wish to give hope to those who have none, to spread the love of Jesus to everyday people who are hurting.

this has been created for whoever chooses to read it. you don't have to be a student at Biltmore Baptist Church, and you dont have to be high-school or middle school age. this is open to everyone who needs it, everyone who wants to feel like there is a reason to go on. feel free to email us at adoseofhope@gmail.com with questions you want to keep private, or just to tell us something you'd like us to talk about. we can pray for you, give you advice, or simply let you know that we are here to listen...er, read :]

it doesn’t matter where you are today or tonight, who you are or what you do. you are special, and we want you to know that. Jesus wants you to know that. everyone needs to feel special, everyone needs to feel like they are needed by someone else. when people are down they have a need to be picked back up, its they way we are created. God intended for us to be there for each other, for us to be open and share our pain and support each other. be there for someone today, you might make a bigger difference than you know.

all of us here at dose of hope know what its like to hurt. everyone hurts. that’s why we started dose of hope. its not a group, club or social status…it’s a movement. we are not perfect, and we dont claim to know all the answers. we just want you to know that someone cares.

hope is precious.
